Dubious Docs

Dr. Katz and the rest of the team seem very dubious about the studies we presented to them. They seem to believe that there is no difference between factor VII applied in an IV or applied directly to the lungs.

However, they have restarted factor VII in an IV. At least they are trying something. We are going to get a second opinion, as soon as we can.

At 3:30 we will have our daily conversation with Dr. Katz.

UPDATE I We will be meeting with Dr. Chute, not Dr Katz.
UPDATE II It is 4:00 and Dr. Chute hasn't shown up yet.
UPDATE III It is 4:30 and no Dr. Chute.
UPDATE IV Dr. Chute is supposed to meet with us at 5:00, and Dr. Katz is supposed to come with him.
UPDATE V 5:00 No doctors yet. 5:25 Dr. Chute just got in the building looks like we are going to a meeting.

Jenni remained the same last night, no change...none...nothing.
Time is not on our side

Grace and Peace
Layne

It is good that the docs learned years ago that surfactant could be sprayed into the lungs of premature babies to save them. I will continue to pray for enlightenment for the docs. We are praying for Jenni and the family.

Cannot imagine how difficult all of this is for you all. I know that there is comfort in your trust and knowledge of the everlasting, omnipotent power of our Lord. I pray that the doctors will utilize all the gifts that God has given them to their greatest ability with compassion for you all and Jenni. Please let me know what I can do. My prayers are constant, and they will continue to be.

Layne, Your sister picked one strong, loving, Christian man. Be grateful that she has had him to share her life and this trial. His testimony is amazing in and of itself. Love and care to you all, Sophia

Although time is running out, we are not giving up yet. Jesus Christ is the Almighty Healer and ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE THROUGH HIM.

We just have to pray that God's will be done in Jenni's life...

Josh,

When Jenni and I first met it was in Poland. You had been dating a while. Almost everyday, she said "I need to call Josh." I knew then that you two had something very special. She knew that you would get married, way before you proposed. She loved you with all her heart, not one doubt. It was from her that I learned what a relationship could really be about. I know she is a very special lady and she picked a very special man to share her life with. Times like these are always filled with questions, and unknown answers. No one can explain why or understand how you feel. Family and friends are supporting you and continually praying. Doctors are trying to find the right thing to do. A whirlwind of emotions, crashing in on you. Lean on the LORD for he will give you strength. May God continue to hold you and Jenni in his hands. May you be blessed with peace and rest. I pray that the LORD will bring you both through this trial and may your love be stronger as you come out of this valley and land on the mountain top.

We continue to lift up Jenni to our Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for a miracle and for there to be a postitive change. We also pray for the doctors to open their eyes to new ideas and that they gain compassion for families time and needs. We are still planning to come tomorrow, so if there is anything we can do just let us know. Josh ..Coco says hello and she misses you. She is sitting on top of her dog house just taking it easy. We love you.. Sending up prayer. Katie and Chris

Layne,
I am sorry that I have been unable to locate this info earlier. The drug that they used for my ITP was Winrow...not sure about the spelling. It is given in about a 5 min. IV and brings up the platelet count...doesn't stop bleeding...might check just to see if it could be of any use. It is a fairly new drug that is rarely used...$24,000 for my 5 mins.

Continue to pray that the miracle will come. Sophia

"And the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed."
James 5:15-16

Still praying constantly.

Everything will look up "IN GOD'S TIME". May God direct the words, thoughts, decisions and hands of each doctor. May all of the family and friends enjoy each and every minute with Jenni during her miraculous healing. IN JESUS NAME!!!
